Real Life Examples Feature In Full Brick,
Gold Standard in Housing, Campaign

Austral Bricks NSW has launched the third phase of its Full Brick campaign with the theme; Full Brick the Gold Standard in Housing. The campaign features more real life examples of families enjoying the many benefits of living in a full brick home.

Launching the campaign, Brett Ward – Brickworks group marketing manager – said that the case histories show that living in a full brick home is the smart way of the future.

“Full brick homes are cooler in summer and warmer in winter according to the latest research results from Newcastle University due to the harnessing of the thermal mass qualities of bricks combined with passive design principles.

“The campaign reveals that families are more concerned about reducing artificial heating/cooling in the home to save on their energy bills. A by-product of this of course is dramatically reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

“I think home buyers are much more aware of the need to reduce the running costs of a home whether it is through cutting power usage or the low maintenance benefit of not having to repaint the bricks,” said Brett Ward.

“The quietness of a full brick home is another big reality factor. Our full brick families report that external and internal noise is greatly reduced and in one family’s case they installed an internal sound system so they could hear the children upstairs because it was so quiet.

“Austral Bricks Full Brick campaign material will again focus on the eight major advantages of a full brick home. Apart from heating and cooling these include; full brick houses are solid, safe and secure; they require less maintenance; are termite resistant; they last a lifetime and have a superior resale value.

“Our Full Brick website, which provides helpful technical information for families considering the full brick option, has been popular. The site is continually being updated with more real life examples from families who have built a full brick home and love the quietness and comfort.

“The website also lists builders who build in full brick, making it easier for homebuyers to get started. The builders are Charleston Homes, Felton Constructions, Full Brick Homes, Krslovic Homes, Kauley Homes, Beyond Homes, Rawson Homes, Provincial Homes and Westminster Homes,” Brett Ward added.

“There is nothing new about full brick homes, but new building products from Austral Bricks such as Colourbrick, better building techniques and a greater understanding of the need for more sustainable homes to protect our environment has encouraged us to continue the Full Brick – The Gold Standard in Housing campaign,” Brett Ward added.

“We have been delighted with the response to the campaign to date. It is obvious that many families consider full brick to be a smart and fashionable alternative” he continued.

The dedicated Full Brick website is www.fullbrick.com.au and a Full Brick hotline 1800 670 235 is also available for homebuyers seeking more information and advice.

Austral Bricks display centres are at Horsley Park, Bowral, Albion Park, Punchbowl, Fyshwick ACT, Newcastle and Tuggerah.
